Secretary Ding Lixin of Wuzhong District Visits AGIBOT for Research and Inspection


On August 19, 2024, Secretary Ding Lixin of the Wuzhong District Party Committee, accompanied by Zhang Huaqian, Member of the Standing Committee of the Wuzhong District Party Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Wuzhong Economic and Technological Development Zone, visited AGIBOT for a research and inspection tour. Xu Min, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of AGIBOT, warmly received the delegation and hosted a discussion.

During the visit, Xu Min guided the delegation through the exhibition hall and R&D facilities, providing an overview of the company’s product pipeline, project process, and production capacity. Secretary Ding also personally tested the AGIBOT Laparoscopic Surgical Robot, which was independently developed by the company. Impressed by its precise control and innovative design, Secretary Ding praised its technological achievements and inquired about its structural design, functional performance, clinical feedback, and application prospects. He also encouraged the team to continue their efforts in innovation and development.

Following the tour, Secretary Ding and his team participated in a discussion with AGIBOT’s management team, where Xu Min provided a comprehensive report on the company’s development journey, product advancements, technological innovation, and clinical application. Secretary Ding commended AGIBOT’s innovative achievements and entrepreneurial efficiency, offering constructive suggestions for further growth.

Secretary Ding highlighted that Wuzhong District, as a core hub of Suzhou’s biomedical industry cluster, boasts a well-established industrial ecosystem and a strong innovation environment. He noted that AGIBOT’s progress in medical robotics aligns closely with the district’s strategic focus on “Robotics + Artificial Intelligence” and “Biomedicine + Health.” Secretary Ding encouraged AGIBOT to seize current market opportunities, leverage its professional expertise and resources, and accelerate technological innovation and product development. He assured the company of the government’s full support and expressed hope that AGIBOT would continue to grow and contribute to regional economic development and industrial upgrading.

Deputy District Governor Zhang Wei and key leaders from the District Committee Office, Science and Technology Bureau, Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Economic Development Zone, and local biomedical companies also attended the visit and discussion.

Looking ahead, AGIBOT plans to capitalize on Suzhou’s resources and policies to accelerate innovation, production scaling, and commercialization.
