On August 14, 2024, AGIBOT Laparoscopic Surgical Robot completed its multicenter registration trial at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH), Zhejiang University School of Medicine(hereinafter “Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital”), marking a milestone in China’s surgical robotics innovation. The trial concluded with two consecutive mediastinal tumor resections led by Prof. Zhu Ziyi’s thoracic team.

On August 19, 2024, Secretary Ding Lixin of the Wuzhong District Party Committee, accompanied by Zhang Huaqian, Member of the Standing Committee of the Wuzhong District Party Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Wuzhong Economic and Technological Development Zone, visited AGIBOT for a research and inspection tour. Xu Min, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of AGIBOT, warmly received the delegation and hosted a discussion.

In July 2024, AGIBOT Medical Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (AGIBOT) completed the signing of a series A financing of over 100 million yuan. This round of financing was led by Cenova Capital, followed by HGC, and received additional investment from existing shareholders Oriza Seed, Sherpa Healthcare Partners, and Suzhou Yihe. The funds from this round of financing will be used to accelerate the company’s innovative R&D, mass production delivery, and commercialization.

Recently, the research results of the first-in-human (FIH) surgery of the AGIBOT Laparoscopic Surgical Robot independently developed by AGIBOT Medical Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (AGIBOT) were publicly released in the January 2024 issue of the ISTIC-indexed Journal of Minimally Invasive Urology.

March 30, 2024, AGIBOT Medical Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (AGIBOT) proudly announces the successful completion of urology registration clinical trials for its independently developed AGIBOT Laparoscopic Surgical Robot. Professor Zhang Xuepei’s team at The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University performed the final case, in which a robot-assisted partial nephrectomy, marking full enrollment completion.

On 9 March 2024, the launch conference of the 5G Precision Minimally Invasive Surgery Alliance, hosted by the Seventh Medical Centre of the General Hospital of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), was successfully held in Beijing, China.
